In 1974, Montis began producing seating furniture at Dongen. Montis is known for a number of striking designer furniture pieces such as the Florence (introduced in 1976), the Charly (1983) and the Windy (1992).
Montis sources upholstery fabrics from well-known manufacturers, such as Kvadrat, Kvadrat Febrik, De Ploeg and ROHI, but also has upholstery fabrics produced under its own brand name.
In December 2024, Montis was taken over by Lande Family.
